For employers

Pay for applications, not for clicks

Care and driving adverts, priced per application received, with the definition of a billable application written down in full before you have to ask for it.

In short

You place an advert, we publish it and email people who asked to hear about that kind of work in that area, and completed applications come straight to you with the CV attached. You pay per application received, against a definition set out in full on this page. No subscription and no posting fee.

What advertising here gets you

The advert, published and indexed

A server-rendered page for the vacancy that exists the moment you publish, so it can be found, shared and indexed straight away rather than waiting for a rebuild.

Alerts to people who asked for that work

People register by choosing role categories and local authority areas. When your advert matches what somebody chose, they get one email about it with a link. They read it and decide for themselves.

Applications with the CV attached

Name, contact details, cover note and CV, sent to you and to nobody else. There is no version of this system in which an application reaches a second advertiser.

Local context on the role

Care and driving pages carry published workforce data for that local authority, so a jobseeker arrives having seen what the local picture looks like rather than a national average.

What counts as a billable application

This is the part of a pay-per-application arrangement that goes wrong, so it is set out here in full rather than in a contract clause you find later. An application is billable when all seven of the following are true. If any one of them is false, it is not billable, and you still receive the application.

  1. 1. The application form was completed

Name, email and the consent tick. A part-filled form that never reached the server is not an application and is never counted.

  2. 2. A CV was attached

The file is checked for size, type and its actual contents, not just its file extension. A submission without a CV reaches you, and it is not billable.

  3. 3. The advert was live when it was sent

Published, inside its own expiry date, and not closed by you. An application to an advert you have already closed is not billable.

  4. 4. It came from a distinct person

Identity is taken from the email address, lowercased and compared per advert. The same person applying to the same advert is counted once, however many times they press send.

  5. 5. It is the first one from that person for that advert

A repeat submission is stored so you can see it, and it never generates a second charge. This is enforced by a unique index in the database, not by a report someone runs later.

  6. 6. It passed the bot check

Cloudflare Turnstile is verified on our server, not in the browser, so a failed or forged token cannot become an invoice line.

  7. 7. It falls outside the de-duplication window

A short window that absorbs double submissions from a slow connection or an impatient second tap.

No judgement of quality, by anyone

No judgement of quality, suitability or relevance is applied to an application, by us or by you. Every test above can be decided by a machine, identically, every time. That is deliberate: the moment a supplier starts deciding which work-seekers are good enough for a hirer, it is no longer advertising.

What is never billable

  • A second or third application from the same person to the same advert.
  • An application with no CV attached.
  • An application to an advert that had closed, expired or been withdrawn.
  • A submission that failed the bot check.
  • A submission we generated ourselves while testing the service.
  • Anything at all that arrives after your cap for that advert is reached.

Why the definition is written this way

Indeed ran a pay-per-application model from 2021 and retired it on 18 December 2023 after billing complaints, reverting to pay per click. The reporting we have found is secondary rather than a primary announcement, so treat the detail as reported rather than confirmed.

The dispute surface in that model was a single word: qualified. Once a bill depends on whether an application was good enough, every invoice is arguable and both sides are arguing about a judgement rather than a fact. Our definition contains no such word on purpose. Seven mechanical tests, each one checkable, each one the same for everybody.

What it costs

Price per application

[PLACEHOLDER: not set]

No per-application rate has been agreed yet, so there is nothing honest to publish. When it is set it will be agreed with you in writing before your first advert goes live, and it will be the same number on the page and on the invoice.

[NEEDS HUMAN SIGN-OFF] Pricing and advertiser terms are pending owner and legal approval.

You set a cap per advert. Once the cap is reached, the advert keeps taking applications and stops generating charges, so your maximum spend on a role is a number you chose before you posted it.

There is no subscription, no posting fee and no minimum term attached to this model. If nobody applies to your advert, it has cost you nothing.

What we need from you

  • A role in one of our two sectors. Adult social care or HGV and logistics driving. We are deliberately narrow, because the local data that makes these pages worth reading only exists for those.
  • Your company details and SIC code. Used for the licensing check below, and shown on the advert so a jobseeker knows who they are applying to.
  • Signed data processing terms. You receive personal data, including CVs, so the arrangement needs terms under Article 28 of the UK GDPR before your first advert goes live.
  • An advert that describes the actual job. Hours, pay basis and location. Vague adverts generate applications from people who would not have applied had they known, which costs you money under this model.

Roles we cannot advertise

Sectors covered by GLAA licensing are excluded, and the check runs against the vacancy rather than against your business. A driving role inside a food processing company is still work in an excluded sector, and that is the level the licensing question is asked at.

  • Agriculture
  • Horticulture
  • Shellfish gathering
  • Food and drink processing and packaging

[NEEDS HUMAN SIGN-OFF] Licensing scope and advertiser terms are pending owner and legal review. Adverts that the automated check cannot clear go to a human queue rather than being approved or refused automatically.

What we do not do

Worth being direct about, because it is what separates this from the service you may be expecting. We do not select people for you, rank them, filter them against your brief, or send you anybody who did not choose your advert and apply to it themselves. Everything that arrives, arrives. AceLeads Jobs is a job advertising board. We are not a recruitment agency and we do not select, shortlist, match or put anyone forward. You choose the job, you apply to the employer, and your application only ever goes to them.

What we cannot show you

No advertiser has used this service yet, so there is no case study on this page, no client logo, no star rating and no quote from a satisfied hirer. There is also no figure for how many people would see your advert, because nobody has registered for alerts yet either. Those numbers will exist and they will be published with their source when they do.

What is available to check now is the mechanism: the seven tests above, the list of what is never billable, the cap that bounds your spend, and the sectors we are not permitted to advertise at all. Being an early advertiser here means taking a view on how carefully something is built rather than on what other people thought of it.

Talk to us about advertising

Tell us the roles and the areas and a person will reply. Sending this creates no account, commits you to nothing and is not charged for. The rate is agreed with you in writing before anything runs, which is why there is no figure on this page to accept or refuse.

Worth having ready for the reply:

  • The roles and areas you recruit for.
  • Your company number and SIC code, for the licensing check.
  • Who signs data processing terms on your side.

Where the reply goes.

Quicker than email if you would rather talk it through.

A rough band is fine. Nobody is held to it.

The roles, the areas, when you need people. A line or two is plenty.

We use these details to reply to your enquiry and to set up an advertiser account if you decide to go ahead. They are not shown to anybody looking for work, and we do not sell or share them. You can ask us to delete them at any time. Read our privacy notice. Draft wording, pending legal review before launch.

The security check is not configured on this deployment, so this form will not accept a submission yet.

No account is created and nothing is charged by sending this.

Questions advertisers ask

What exactly makes an application billable?

Seven mechanical tests, all of which must be true: the form was completed, a CV was attached, the advert was live, the person is distinct, it is their first application to that advert, it passed the bot check, and it falls outside the de-duplication window. Every one of those can be decided by a machine.

What if an application is no good?

It is still billable, and that is the deliberate design rather than an oversight. Quality is a judgement, judgements are arguable, and a supplier that judges which work-seekers a hirer may see is doing something quite different from advertising. You get everything that arrives and you decide.

How do I limit what I spend on a role?

Set a cap on the advert. Once the cap is reached, the advert keeps taking applications and stops generating charges, so your maximum spend on a role is a number you chose before you posted it rather than a surprise at the end of the month.

What does it cost?

No per-application rate is published, because none has been set yet. When it is, it will be agreed with you in writing before your first advert goes live, and the number on the page will be the number on the invoice. Anything else on this site showing a price would be a placeholder.

Can I advertise any kind of job?

Adult social care and HGV or logistics driving roles only, and never a role in a sector covered by GLAA licensing. That check runs on the vacancy itself rather than on your business, because a driving job can sit inside a food processing company and the licensing question follows the work.

Do you contact people on my behalf?

No. We email people about adverts that match categories they chose, which is a notification about a published advert, not an approach on your behalf. Nobody is put forward to you, and nobody can be browsed by you. The register is not readable by an advertiser.
